GotASale for Paddle

Set up Paddle from your GotASale dashboard — no code required.

Go to Dashboard

How it Works

  1. Log in to your GotASale dashboard
  2. Click + Add Store
  3. Find the Paddle card and click Set up Paddle
  4. GotASale shows you a webhook URL. It looks like https://api.gotasale.io/custom-webhook/YOUR_TOKEN — copy it, you'll paste it into Paddle next
  5. In Paddle, go to Developer Tools → Notifications → New destination
  6. Paste the webhook URL from GotASale into the new destination's URL field
  7. Subscribe to the transaction.completed event
  8. Paddle generates a secret key for this destination — copy it
  9. Back in GotASale, paste it into the signing secret field. This is how GotASale checks that each message really came from Paddle, not someone pretending to be Paddle
  10. Click Connect Paddle to finish

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Paddle event does GotASale use?

transaction.completed — it fires for both one-time purchases and subscription renewal payments, so you only need to subscribe to this one event.

Do I also need to subscribe to subscription.created or subscription.updated?

No — leave those unchecked. GotASale relies on transaction.completed, which Paddle sends for every invoice, including subscription renewals.

Where do I find my destination's secret key?

Paddle shows it on the same screen right after you create the notification destination, under Developer Tools → Notifications.

Does GotASale support Paddle Classic?

This integration supports Paddle Billing (paddle.com), Paddle's current platform. Paddle Classic is not supported.

"Paddle" is a trademark of its respective owner. GotASale is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Paddle — it simply listens for webhook notifications you configure yourself in your own Paddle account.
